Rural Education in Toungoo, Myanmar

Target: £4,230/€4,860 | Project 486

Providing children from deprived backgrounds with an education

Many children in the Diocese of Toungoo have limited access to education because there are no government-run schools in this rural area. In response, the diocese has set up schools to provide free education, as well as providing free boarding for children from remote villages.

The objectives of this Project are to support to 115 children through three primary schools; to provide 160 students with free boarding; to support 40 matriculation students; and to care for 550 toddlers in 15 nursery schools.
