Holy Cross Theological College, Myanmar

Target: £11,130/€12,780 | Project 485

Equipping clergy and congregations with theological education

In Myanmar, as with many parts of the Anglican Communion, there is an urgent need for trained clergy and lay leaders to disciple new believers and nurture the church.

USPG-supported Holy Cross Theological College (HTC) is helping to address this need by training men and women to become ordained clergy and lay workers. During the academic year 2009-10, 42 students were resident at the college.

Established in the Diocese of Yangon in 1929, HTC has over time increased its reach so that it is now able to offer students a wide range of courses, including Bachelor of Theology, Licentiate of Theology and a Diploma in Ministry.
