Target: £4,760/€5,470 | Project 393

Equipping young people from deprived backgrounds with job skills

Finding a job is difficult for young people in Myanmar (also known as Burma), especially for those who've had to leave education early because their families could not afford school fees. For this reason, the Diocese of Toungoo and Sittwe have launched a scheme to provide vocational training for young people, especially for those from deprived backgrounds.

These dioceses are offering a range of vocational courses, including mechanics, electrics, carpentry, food preservation and English language.
