Rajshahi Hospital, Bangladesh

Target: £8,140/€9,360 | Project 399
Making healthcare available to everyone, regardless of poor and marginalised
Healthcare services in the city of Rajshahi, in northwestern Bangladesh, is too expensive for most people. Seeing this need, the Church of Bangladesh is supporting Rajshahi Hospital, a non-profit mission hospital that is providing the poor and marginalised with basic healthcare at a reasonable cost.
Founded in 1887, the hospital is a full-service healthcare provider, including facilities for surgery and maternity care. It offers an 80-bed inpatient service, providing basic care at a reasonable cost for Muslims, Hindus, and Christians from the surrounding areas. There is a special fund to cover the medical fees of patients who cannot afford to pay.
